Tylah Farani-Watene – Communications Advisor

Tylah (Ty) is the Communications Advisor for NZ Māori Tourism, responsible for leading the organisation’s communications.
She has foundational knowledge of government processes and internal communications from her time in the public sector. Her work is grounded in a passion for indigenous storytelling, fostering collaboration, and strengthening relationships to deliver impactful and culturally relevant messaging.
Outside of NZMT, Ty remains actively involved in youth advocacy and sustainable development initiatives.
