KARAKIA TUMU WHAKAWĀTEA

Please join us in a nationwide karakia on Monday 23 August from 7am to 7:45.

This karakia is to create space to find connection, to give thanks, to uplift any burdens, anxieties, or fear of the unknown.  More importantly, to come together as one and karakia as one.

Mihi whakatau / karakia whakatuwhera: Joe Harawira, Ngati Awa Rangatira

Followed by:

  • Hemi Sundgren (Cultural Advisor NZ Tourism)
  • Ngarimu Parata (Cultural Advisor Reserve Bank of NZ)
  • Henare Johnson (Cultural Advisor Air NZ)
  • Whitiaua Black (Cultural Advisor NZMT)

Followed by hīmene He Hōnore.

NZ Māori Tourism Chief Executive Pania Tyson Nathan will speak post hīmene.
