Congratulations to Whāngārā Mai Tawhiti for their win at Te Matatini 2017. Ngati Kahungunu organised a brilliant event - not only Te Matatini itself, but also the other events, meetings, and networking that occurred in and around the main event. The atmosphere in Hawke's Bay last week was phenomenal - while Ngahiwi and his team can justifiably be proud of what they've achieved, we know there were many thousands working behind the scenes who contributed towards showcasing Māori culture and Hawke's Bay in such a great light. Ka rawe to koutou mahi! Now our eyes turn to Te Whanganui-a-Tara in 2019!
